Les Nuits d'Hadrien - Annick Goutal
Manufacturer: Annick Goutal
A succession of fresh and spicy chords to evoke a new enrapturing story of Italy, at night...
This fragrance takes off with the sparkling scent of citrus: bergamot, Sicilian lemon, green and acidic tangerine.
Its middle notes then become warmer with touches of Mediterranean cypress, basil leaves, Egyptian cumin, and juniper berry.
The sensuality of ylang-ylang mixes with the rough aroma of sandalwood, amber, patchouli, and vanilla offers a remarkable oriental base.

In 1999, when Annick died of cancer at age 53, Camille returned to the fragrance house, joining forces with her mother’s longtime collaborator, Isabelle Doyen, and carrying on the work of distilling memory into scent.
Isabelle Doyen graduated from the ISIPCA perfumery school in 1982. She eventually went to work as an assistant to Annick Goutal; after Goutal passed away she continued to work as a perfumer with Goutal's daughter, Camille.
Annick Goutal is a niche perfumery house created in 1981 by one woman with a remarkable destiny. It all began with the moving tale of a young lady rebelling against a seemingly inevitable career as a pianist. After many years studying music, she decided to embrace the opportunity to become a model, a path which aligned perfectly with her innate sense of refinement and genuine elegance.
Some time later, a chance encounter with a perfumer from the French town of Grasse would drastically change her life: she discovered within herself a true talent for creating fragrances and embarked upon an artistic olfactory journey, culminating in her own success in creating a brand.
Today, her work is continued by her daughter, Camille Goutal, and Isabelle Doyen.
