Jean-Paul Millet Lage
Jean-Paul Millet Lage became a perfumer in Paris upon meeting legendary L'Artisan and Maître Parfumeur et Gantier founder and master perfumer Jean-François Laporte, who took Jean-Paul under his wing and helped teach him the basics, a relationship that resulted in Millet Lage buying Maître Parfumeur et Gantier from Laporte in 1997 and carrying on the legacy as the in-house nose.
Maître Parfumeur et Gantier was founded in 1988 by Jean Laporte. Inspired by the great French perfume houses of the 17th century, when scented gloves were a fashionable trend and the King introduced the title "Maître Parfumeur et Gantier," this perfume house revives the fine arts of both perfumery and glove-making, using the finest components.
Jean Laporte's former apprentice, Jean-Paul Millet Lage, took over as perfumer and head of the house in 1997.
